Crafted With Purpose: The Story Behind Dkoko Swimwear
Dkoko is a boutique Costa Rican swimwear brand founded on a deep love for the sea, rooted in the ethics of sustainability and feminine empowerment. The brand was founded by two women entrepreneurs, Michelle Rodríguez and Verónica Wessel, from Costa Rica, passionate about living each day with greater inspiration, helping their business grow in a way that benefits us all.
Their mission is to create unique, consciously crafted, high-quality feminine designs that transport women to a tropical paradise where they feel comfortable, feminine, and inspired. They envision themselves to be the preferred beachwear and bikini brand for women surfers who want to feel comfortable, feminine and elegant at sea and on land. They want to create abundance that supports social and environmental sustainability and to inspire women toward living a healthy lifestyle, in harmony with nature.
They proudly handcraft their products locally in their very own production house, supporting families in Granada, Nicaragua. In our collections they use fabrics made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon, made from waste, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, and carpets. They’re also a member of 1% for Planet. So they donate 1% of all sales to non-profit environmental organizations.
