Meet our 2025 artist-in-residence: Erica Piñeda of Ancestral
Ancestral is a business initiative founded in 2015 by Erika Piñeda, dedicated to the preservation, expansion, and integration of textile art within contemporary urban settings.
Its mission is carried out through two core areas of focus: the Pedagogical Axis fosters the learning, and replication of traditional weaving techniques; and the Creative Axis centers on the design and production of handcrafted artistic pieces, celebrating the beauty of artisanal work and embracing craftsmanship as a way of life.
